How the price is built

Material, machine and labor form the subtotal. The failure rate spreads the cost of failed prints across the successful ones: at a 10% failure rate only 90% of prints sell, so costs are divided by 0.9. Profit margin is a true margin on the final price — at 25%, a quarter of what the customer pays is profit.
